Currently in Alaska, it is still required to submit an ATF Form 4 to purchase an NFA item such as a suppressor. This process is not difficult, but does require a few specific steps be followed.

First, you need to purchase a suppressor. That can be done through our website under the products section above.

Second, you will need to obtain a digital copy of your fingerprints for submission to the ATF along with the Form4. Digital fingerprint files can be created at most UPS stores for about $30. You can schedule an appointment with UPS store for this service through www.printscan.com. Ensure when setting up the appointment that you specify the ATF format. You will need to show 2 forms of currently valid government issued ID at the time of the appointment. UPS Store will then EMail you the digital ETF file in short order after the appointment. Save this file and Email it to us at admin@quietnorthprecision.com along with your order number.

Third, you will need a passport style photo of yourself to be submitted to the ATF. A good clean head on picture taken with any modern phone camera suffices. White or neutral background, no smile, showing yourself from the shoulders up. EMail us your photo along with the fingerprint EFT and your order number to the email above. The Department of State has a good how to on taking a good passport photos located here.

Fourth, you will need a ATF EForms account. Sign up for your account at https://eforms.atf.gov/. It will have you setup a PIN number for verification/certification. DO NOT forget this PIN number it is essential to the process.

Once you have these things complete, contact us to setup and appointment to come into the shop and complete the Form4 on the computer here and certify it in person. Form 4 approvals are taking 24-48 hours at this time, but some come back sooner and some take longer. Unfortunately that timeline is in the hands of the ATF and FBI NICS process so it does vary person to person.
